Applying to Study at an International School in Sweden with No Fees.Sweden has many international schools that are non-boarding, day schools. These schools offer the International Baccalaureate. Students here either live at home with their parents or guardians or arrange their own accommodation. Since many schools are run by the Kommun (local council), there are no costly fees as with international schools in other parts of the world. However, there are no scholarships to study here since the education is paid by the state. In order to study at an International School , you must apply for residency in Sweden. This can take as much as six months depending on the level of bureaucracy that exits in your country, and your country's relationship with Sweden. After you have become a resident, you will be given a personal number, which is like a national insurance number. You cannot do any financial transaction without it. Also, the school will need some guarantee of your academic standards, to see if you will be able to cope with the demands of the international baccalaureate diploma. Step 1 - Application to the International School. The first thing you must do is to apply by filling out the application
form. You should send them :- Step 2 - Application for Residency in Sweden If they are satisfied with your application, they can write a letter of acceptance to the International School. You should then apply to your local Swedish embassy or consulate for residence in Sweden. When you have been given residency, you can arrange for accommodation, and then study at the International School. |
